One of the things that makes Catholic school special is our emphasis on actively giving back to the community.1st grade started off a set of service-oriented field trips by spending time with seniors at Sabine Place. Our Book Club, then, dressed as book characters and had fun acting out a story at the Orange Public Library. The 5th grade students also have the opportunity now toserve as buddies for our Pre-K students. They will get to spend time together and build relationships, especially during lunch.Speaking of lunch, the 5th graders began helping St. Mary Catholic Church with their weekly soup kitchen this week. Also this week, the 3rd grade students set up St. Mary’s entry in the Shangri La Scarecrow Festival.
